General Conditions

This site is for your personal, non-commercial use. It is hereby expressly prohibited to copy, distribute, alter, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, transfer or sell any information, products or services obtained through it. In no case shall the agency be liable for any resulting damages or in any way related to the use of the site. The agency does not guarantee that your web pages will have no errors or other difficulties. The agency reserves the right to manipulate, without prior notice and for any reason, any information on the site. The user is responsible for reviewing the content whenever they consult or book trips through it. Your continued use of the site after any changes you make will be deemed to be your acceptance of them.

These general conditions comply with the provisions of Decree-Law 61/2011 of May 6, with the amendment that was introduced by Decree-Law 199/2012 of August 24.

The general conditions whose object is an organized trip contained in this site and the particular conditions that are contained in the travel documentation provided to the client at the time of reservation of the trip constitute the travel contract binding the parties.

ORGANIZING AGENCY: The travel organization included in this site was organized by Travel Agency Volta Mundo Lda, with headquarters at Av. General Humberto Delgado, 12-B - 2955-115 Pinhal Novo, with a share capital of € 100,000, taxpayer no. 503151505 , enrolled in the Commercial Registry of Palmela under nº 9211994/0113, with RNAVT nº 2071.

REGISTRATION: At the time of registration, the client must deposit the stipulated sign in each program, liquidating the remaining balance up to 30 days before departure (Cruises will be 60 days). If the registration takes place 21 days or less from the date of departure, the total price of the trip must be paid at the time of registration, which is conditional on the suppliers obtaining confirmation of the reservations for all services. The Organizing Agency reserves the right to cancel any registration whose payment has not been made under the conditions mentioned above.

CLAIMS: Under the terms of Law no. 144/2015 of September 8, the Client may use the following Alternative Dispute Resolution Entities:
i) Provider of the Client of the Travel and Tourism Agencies at;
ii) Tourism Arbitration Commission of Portugal at;
iii) or to any of the entities duly indicated in the list made available by the General Directorate of the Consumer in whose consultation we advise already. Complaints can only be considered provided they are submitted in writing to the agency within a maximum of 30 days after the end of the provision of services.
They can only be accepted as long as they participate to the service providers during the course of the trip, requiring the same respective documents proving the occurrence. In the event of a claim for non-compliance with the contracted services, the client may activate the Travel and Tourism Guarantee Fund provided for in Decree-Law 61/2011 of May 6, in its current version, and must present the following complaint:
i) With the Customer Ombudsman, at In order to enjoy this service, you must submit your complaint in writing within 20 working days of the end of the trip. The agencies are bound to punctually comply with the decision that may be issued by such entity.
ii) With Turismo de Portugal I.P at within 30 days after: (a) the end of the trip; (b) the cancellation of the trip attributable to the agency; (c) the date of acknowledgment of the impossibility of its realization for reasons attributable to the agency; (d) the closure of the establishment.
iii) Together with any of the entities listed on the website of the Directorate General of Consumer at

BAGGAGE: The agency is responsible for the luggage under legal terms. The passenger has the obligation to complain to the entities providing services, at the time of subtraction, deterioration or loss. The responsibility of the agency can only be triggered upon presentation of the proof of the aforementioned claim. In the international transport, in case of damage in the luggage, the complaint must be made in writing to the carrier immediately after the verification of the damage, and a maximum of 7 days from its delivery. In case of a delay in the delivery of the luggage, the claim must be made within 21 days from the date of delivery. Hand baggage and other personal belongings are not covered by the contract of carriage, it being understood for all purposes that passengers must always keep them at their own risk regardless of where they are. Any theft or robbery will not be the responsibility of the organizing agency.

LIMITS: The liability of the agency shall be limited to the maximum amount due to service providers under the Montreal Convention of 28 May 1999 on International Carriage by Air and the Berne Convention of 1961 on Rail Transport . In the case of maritime transport, the liability of travel agents, in relation to their customers, for the provision of transport services or accommodation where appropriate by maritime transport undertakings in the case of damage resulting from intent or negligence , shall be limited to the following amounts:

a) € 441,436 in the event of death or personal injury;

b) € 7,881, in the event of total or partial loss of luggage or damage;

c) € 31,424, in the event of loss of a motor vehicle, including the luggage contained therein;

d) € 10,375 in the event of loss of baggage, accompanied or not, contained in a motor vehicle;

e) € 1,097, for damage to the luggage, as a result of damage to the motor vehicle.

Where it exists, the responsibility of travel and tourism agencies for the deterioration, destruction and subtraction of luggage or other articles in tourist accommodation establishments, while the customer is staying there, has the following limits:

a) € 1.397, overall;

b) € 449 per article;

c) The value declared by the client, in the case of articles deposited in the custody of the tourist accommodation establishment. The agency's liability for non-personal damages may be contractually limited to the amount corresponding to five times the price of the service sold.

DOCUMENTATION: The client must have in good order all his or her personal or family documentation (identity card or citizen's card, passport, military documentation, authorization for minors, visas, vaccination certificate, European health insurance card and any others required ). Banknotes or birth seats are not valid as a travel document. Citizens of other countries than Portugal should obtain information on the conditions of access to the countries to be visited. The organizing agency declines all responsibility for the refusal of the granting of visas or the non-entry permit to the client in a foreign country, and the client's account is any and all costs that such a situation may entail.

CHANGES: If it is possible, whenever a customer registered for a particular trip wishes to change his registration for another trip or to the same departure date, he must pay the fee as a change. However, when the change takes place 21 days or less in advance of the departure date of the trip to which the customer is registered, or if the service providers do not accept the change, he shall be subject to the expenses and charges item "Withdrawals". After the start of the trip, if requested to change the services contracted for reasons not attributable to the agency (eg, increase of the nights of stay, change of flight), the prices of tourist services may not correspond to those published in the brochure that motivated the hiring.

REGISTRATION DEPARTURE: The client can assign his / her registration, being replaced by another person who fulfills all the conditions required for the trip, provided that he informs the selling agency at least seven days in advance and that such assignment is possible under the terms applicable air transport regulations. In case of cruises and air travel, the deadline will be fifteen days in advance. The assignment of the registration shall jointly and severally blame the transferee and the transferee for the payment of the price of the trip and for the additional charges incurred.

AMENDMENTS: Whenever there are other reasons why, the organizing agency may change the order of the routes, modify the departure times or replace any of the hotels provided by others of similar category and location, and inform the client of such change as soon as her knowledge. If unforeseen circumstances make it necessary to suspend any travel, customers will always be entitled to reimbursement of the amounts paid.

CANCELLATION OF THE PROGRAM BY THE AGENCY: The Agency reserves the right to cancel the package if the number of participants is less than the minimum required. In these cases, the customer will be informed, in writing, of the cancellation within 10 days before the date of departure.

AMENDMENT TO THE PRICE: The prices shown in the program are based on the costs of the services and exchange rates prevailing at the time of printing of this program and are subject to changes resulting from changes in the cost of transport or fuel, exchange rates and fluctuations up to 20 days before the date of travel.

REFUNDS: Once the trip is started, no refund is due for services not used by the customer. Failure to provide services provided in the travel program for causes not attributable to the organizing agency and if it is not possible to replace them with other equivalent, gives the customer the right to be reimbursed for the difference between the price of the services provided and those actually provided.

IMPOSSIBILITY OF COMPLIANCE: If, prior to the commencement of the trip and because of events not attributable to the organizing agency, it becomes unable to fulfill some essential service included in the travel program, the client has the right to withdraw from the trip and is immediately reimbursed for all the amounts paid or, alternatively, accept a change and possible price variation. If the said facts that are not attributable to the organizing agency determine the cancellation of the trip, the client may also opt to participate in another organized trip of equivalent price. If the arranged trip proposed in substitution is of lower price, the customer will be refunded the respective difference.

DISMISSAL: If the client or any of his or her escorts withdraws from the trip, you will have to pay all the charges that the cancellation gives rise to, and a percentage that may go up to 15% of the price of the trip. Where applicable, the customer will be reimbursed for the difference between the amount paid and the amounts referred to above

RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibility of the travel agency included in this site and emerging from the obligations assumed is guaranteed by civil liability insurance in the insurance company Liberty Seguros, under the policy number RC9500237251, in the amount of € 75,000, and by the Guarantee Fund for Travel and Tourism in accordance with the legislation in force.

VAT: The prices mentioned on this site already reflect the Value Added Tax at the current rate (23%).

HOURS OF ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: The arrival and departure times in each city are indicated in the local time of the respective country and according to the schedules of the transport companies at the time of preparation of this document and are therefore subject to change. For trips made totally or partially by bus, the times indicated are approximate. All means of transport include delays resulting from technical or other reasons related to both the means of transport itself and the transport undertakings. The organizing agency of these trips does not consider itself responsible for the delay or lack of attendance of any of the participants in the places and hours previously indicated for the respective departures, reason why the expenses of transport, lodging, meals and others that can come by the mentioned.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR CARRYING OUT THE TRIP: When making the reservation, the client guarantees that he is in full health conditions to travel and that his health will not jeopardize the safety and comfort of the other passengers of the group. For disabled passengers, passengers with reduced mobility shall be subject to the rules laid down in Community legislation on the carriage of passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility. Considering that the vehicles used may not be equipped to accommodate wheelchairs and that some hotels may not have suitable options for people with special needs or reduced mobility, if necessary, please contact the agency in advance to if these services are suitable for people with special needs or reduced mobility.

HOTELS: The list of hotels and apartments in the programs is indicative, as well as their category, which respects local criteria and classifications that are sometimes different from those used in Portugal. They may be changed by similar ones when, for reasons beyond the control of the agency, it is not possible to maintain or confirm the existing reservation, and the agency is obliged to inform the client as soon as he becomes aware of it.

AIRPORT, SAFETY AND FUEL RATES: By legal imposition, it is mandatory that the respective fees are included in the final price of the program. However, we safeguard the possible changes that take place from the date of preparation of this document until the date of the trip, with the respective fees subject to legal changes until the tickets are issued.

INSURANCE: The agency offers the sale of insurance that can be purchased depending on the trip to guarantee assistance situations and cancellation expenses.
